Have You Ever Wanted To Know What It's Like Inside A Drag Racing Car?

Review

We reviewed it inside and out.

We’re not used to reviewing cars anything quite like this one. This one is special. Although it may look (kind of) like a 1963 Corvette on whatever steroids the Russian Olympic team takes, what you’re looking at is an all-carbon fiber bodied drag racer that only resembles a ’63 Vette. Instead of the stock car’s 99-inch wheelbase, this thing has been stretched to a 106-inch wheelbase. Oh, and it also has 1,280 hp at 7500 rpm and 950 lb-ft of torque at 6800 rpm. A 615 cu in Big Block V8 will do that. Zero to 60 mph?

That’ll only take one second flat. The quarter-mile? Seven seconds flat at 195 mph. And we had the privilege of seeing this thing in the flesh at the Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California.

We’d like to thank Dean Hall, racing team manager of Heck Racing, for displaying this Corvette drag racer and letting us film it inside and out. Don’t know about anyone else here but we’ve never seen anything quite like this in-person. One thing is for certain: it’s loud. Insanely loud.
