Hennessey's only building 100 of these bad boys, so hurry up and put your order in.
The 5.0L Coyote V8-powered Ford F-150 is no slouch, but fast can always be made faster, and an argument could be made that 395 horsepower, while more than adequate five or ten years ago, just isn't enough for modern pickup customers.
The folks at Hennessey Performance Engineering have answered the call with one of their most compelling high-performance truck packages ever: the Venom 775 supercharged upgrade package. Just 100 units will be made, and sold exclusively through Brown Lee Ford in Morrison, Tennessee.
Keep in mind that the 'Venom' name was what Hennessey called its most outrageous performance vehicle, with the Venom F5 as an expected followup.
And, sure, we've seen other super-high-power American pickup truck packages in the past, from Hennessey and other firms, but the Venom 775 is more than just its horsepower rating.
Granted, that 775-horsepower rating is certainly the Venom's primary selling point, achieved through a monstrous 2.9L supercharger with the boost cranked, flowing through an air-to-water intercooler; a high-flow air induction system; stainless catalyst-back exhaust; and a PCM tune from Hennessey's seasoned experts. But in addition, the F-150 Venom 775 packs 6-piston Brembo front brake calipers for maximum braking force, a Hennessey front bumper with five LED lights, and 20-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch Toyo off-road tires.
The suspension has been lifted by 6 inches, as well, because when your truck's equipped with off-road tires, you might as well use them. And each Venom 775 gets road tested and approved, shipping with Hennessey and Venom 775 exterior graphics, serialized dash and engine plaques, and a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty.
Optional upgrades for the Ford F-150-based Venom 775 are limited to a Venom ram air hood, Venom rear bumper, electric fold-down side steps, and a custom Venom interior. That interior boasts plush leather upholstery, suede inserts, and custom stitching for the ultimate in comfort and looks.
If you were looking for an alternative to the factory Ford F-150 Raptor with gobs more power and that characteristic V8 burble, the Hennessey Venom 775 might just be your truck.
