Hennessey Performance’s 1,000 HP C7 Corvette Sounds Insanely Brutal

Exhaust

This is American music.

The Chevrolet C7 Corvette may not be the most reliable or fastest American sports car ever made, but the automaker has tuned the LT1 small-block V8 in the vehicle to make a lovely sound. Unbelievably, Hennessey Performance took the LT1 and gave it 1,000 hp and an even more brutal sound with its latest performance kit. For an extra $74,500, the HPE1000 kit adds performance-oriented internals, a complete exhaust kit and a 2.9-liter supercharger, along with a host of other performance parts to boost power to a supercar-killing level.

This is what the incredible sound of an American sports car with Ferrari-killing performance sounds like. Turn your volume up and enjoy.
