Hennessey Performance is making future Corvette Stingray owners' dreams come true.
By this point, everyone should know that Hennessey Performance doesn't mess around. The Texas-based tuner and builder of the record-breaking Venom GT has had an ongoing love affair with horsepower for quite some time, and it's now applied that passion to the new Corvette Stingray. The company has just announced details of its new supercharger and twin-turbocharger kits for the C7 Vette and, on paper at least, they appear to be everything we could have hoped for.
Beginning with the car's new 6.2-liter V8 that's rated at 455 horsepower, Hennessey's first two option packs add a TVS2300 supercharger system and a few other upgrades that boost output to 600 and 700 hp. Both kits can be had with either the six-speed auto or seven-speed manual gearboxes and come with a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty. Pricing comes in at $12,495 and $18,450 with installation. Note these prices don't include the price of the Corvette itself. Still not satisfied and want even more power? No problem, as the HPE800 and HPE1000 twin-turbocharger upgrades will give you either 800 hp or 1,000 hp.
Each twin-turbo kit adds some major engine modifications like balanced rotating assembly with forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, upgraded fuel system, and a stainless steel inlet piping and exhaust system. These kits come with a 1-year/12,000-mile limited warranty and cost $54,950 and $67,950 with installation, respectively. Again, you'll need to buy the car first and then pay these prices for the upgrades. But it's oh so worth it.
