Just a month following its second appearance, this time at SEMA, Hennessey has announced that production is underway for its insane VelociRaptor 6x6, essentially a stretched version of the Ford F-150 Raptor. It took a total of 11 months, according to Hennessey, to go from concept to finished product, and is considered to be the successor to the original four-wheeled Hennessey VelociRaptor. Priced at $349,000 and limited to only 50 examples, the truck begins life as an F-150 Raptor SuperCrew.

In-house Hennessey additions include twin-turbo engine upgrade for a total of 605 hp @6000 rpm and 622 lb-ft of torque, which makes the mad truck good for a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.9 seconds. Other additions include 6x6 locking rear axles, upgraded Fox suspension, six 20-inch wheels and Toyo Open Country tires, LED lights, and unique Hennessey front and rear bumper upgrades. While that's all standard, buyers can also opt for some pricey extras, such as the $22,000 brake package with six-piston Brembo calipers Owners can feel assured their expensive purchase is quality thanks to a three year/36,000 mile Hennessey warranty.

While the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 is anything but cheap, those 50 owners will definitely be buying something very special. With the exception of the also very rare Mercedes 6x6 G63, there's nothing else quite like this thing on the road. Money always buys exclusivity.
