But will it be any better than what he's done before?
We haven't heard anything from Henrik Fisker for quite some time now. The former CEO of the deceased hybrid automaker Fisker and designer of the beautiful Aston Martin Vanquish-based Thunderbolt and extremely sexy Galpin Rocket Mustang must have been busy. However, we did report earlier this year that he's looking into starting a new company and that the cars would be targeted at millennials. Well, it seems that he's been occupied with this new company of his because he just released a sketch of his latest design, the Force 1.
The new $300,000 supercar has been developed with,"an acclaimed American race car driver." Reportedly up to 50 units will be made in Michigan starting in April 2016. From the sketch, the Force 1 looks like it will be a luxurious and fast two-seat coupe thanks to its flared wheel arches, short overhangs and sleek lines. Fisker says that the Force 1 will have "laser blade" taillights, 21-inch wheels, active suspension and carbon fiber bodywork. As for the engine, Fisker says that it will be one of the world's highest-output naturally aspirated engines. We don't know how many cylinders or what kind of engine it'll be just yet but his words do sound exciting.
The transmission will be offered as a six-speed manual or an unspecified automatic transmission and will be rear-wheel-drive. Fisker says he believes that "there is room in the market for a daily driver that embodies all the attributes of the best track racing car, and the comfort of a luxurious sports car. Extreme power, great aesthetics and pristine handling make for a superior ride in Force 1, an American super car."
