It is no surprise that the BMW 4 Series Coupe was coming, as we have reported on various sightings and reports since last year. But today BMW had released full specs and photos of the sleek new coupe. To remind you, the 2014 4 Series Coupe replaces the old 3 Series Coupe, as BMW has simply created a so-called new model number. The base 428i will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four that produces 240 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque and has a 0-60 mph time of 5.7 seconds. The 435i will have a 3.0 turbo inline-six, generating 300 hp with 300 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60 time of 5.3 seconds.

In addition there will be the 428i xDrive and 435i xDrive models, both with the familiar all-wheel drive system. The standard transmission will be an eight-speed automatic or an optional six-speed manual. Similarly, as in the 3 Series sedan lineup, there will be an M Sport, Sport Line, and Luxury Line trim options. Coupe production begins in July and will hit showrooms in either late summer or early fall. A convertible option will begin production in November and land in showrooms in either later December or early January. BMW has already confirmed that 4 Series Coupe pricing will start at $41,425.
