We thought it was a bit odd that BMW didn't reveal the M2 at Frankfurt earlier this month. Apparently, it's saving this delectable display of M awesomeness at its very best for Los Angeles in November. But before that live reveal, we're now being told that the M2 will premiere online this week, probably on Wednesday. What's more, the M2 order books, according to a source for Bimmerpost, will open the following day, Thursday the 15th.

Supposedly it'll be for European customers only, but if you're in the US and ntent on buying the most direct descendant to the E30 M3 (there's a reason why it's called God's Chariot), then make sure you get to your BMW dealer ASAP. Call them. Do whatever. Get your spot in line. We fully expect the US market M2 allocation to go fast, just like its immediate predecessor, the 1 Series M Coupe.
