We're still smitten.
It premiered at Geneva last week and we still can’t get it off our minds. The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS, in our opinion, may go down as one of the all-time great 911s. Just one look at its specs and you'll understand why: a new (naturally aspirated!) 4.0-liter flat-six that’s good for about 500 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. All that power is sent to the rear wheels via a fast-shifting dual-clutch transmission. OK, so there’s no manual option, but Porsche told us last week to trust them on this decision; the performance times will speak for themselves.
And if you ever get the chance to see this particular 911 up close, you must remind yourself that you’re in the presence of greatness. It looks mesmerizing. To make us want tons of money even more, Porsche has just released a new video of the GT3 RS being pushed to its track limits.
