CLS-Class

Mercedes recently gave us a sneak preview of the all-new CLS which will be revealed at tomorrow's LA Auto Show, but official photos have now leaked via Australian website Motoring showing the four-door coupe one day before you're supposed to see it. We've already seen test mules of the car in spy shots, so the styling doesn't come as a huge surprise – it looks just as sleek and stylish as we expected, with a design that remains faithful to the original CLS from 2015.

The new CLS is based on the current E-Class and features a similar grille, while the redesigned front bumper seems to have been inspired by the AMG GT R although it isn't wearing the signature Panamericana grille. Elsewhere, the rear taillights appear to fit seamlessly within the rear fascia but they don't look as elegant than the current generation. We also get a first look inside the luxurious interior of the CLS. The leaked photos show a dashboard and funky air vents taken from the E-Class that glow blue or red depending on the temperature of the cabin, while the multifunction steering wheel has been borrowed from the recently facelifted S-Class.

As we saw from previous teaser images, the instrument cluster and infotainment system are displayed on one ultra-wide screen instead of two 12.3-inch screens like other Mercedes cars. Motoring also mentions that Mercedes's 3.0-liter straight-six engine is being added to the CLS range. In the E-Class, the same unit delivers 408-horsepower, but we'll have to wait until tomorrow's reveal to find out the full specifications of the new Mercedes CLS.
