Here's Why Buying A Bentley Bentayga Is Going To Be Insanely Hard

Review

Despite its $230,000 base price.

It’s the SUV that nobody directly asked for and yet Bentley can’t build them fast enough. Meet the all-new 2017 Bentley Bentayga, an SUV with a base price of $229,100 that once you add just a few features, such as $5,715 Orange Flame exterior paint, quickly reaches well over $250,000. Heck, Bentley will be more than willing to customize a Bentayga to the customer’s desire – assuming they’ve got the dough. Powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 with 600 hp and 664 lb-ft, power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic.

And yes, the Bentayga has some respectable off-roading capabilities, so this isn’t just some rich soccer mom thing. But soccer moms who drive one will get their kids to practice damn fast. Try a 0-60 mph time of only 3.5 seconds. Running a bit late? No problem-o. Top speed is 184 mph.

To say we were impressed with the new Bentayga is an understatement. It’s simply magical and there's already a backlog of orders. It’s causing ripple effects by forcing the likes of Rolls-Royce and Range Rover to respond, and do so fast. But can they? Expectations are without question ridiculously high.
