Buick recently revealed the facelifted 2021 Envision and is enjoying huge sales success with the Encore GX. The American carmaker also teased two new upcoming electric models at CES 2021. But while the company wouldn't share any information on these mystery models during a Q&A session this week, it did preview a new model.

Select media in attendance were given a brief glimpse of the 2022 Buick Enclave, pictured in the two images below. Buick says the facelifted model features a more modern and expressive design, and Vice President of Global Buick Duncan Aldred told us there would be updates to the interior as well.

The design is more evolutionary than revolutionary, taking an already handsome facade and making it more elegant than before. We don't expect any major changes for the interior, but the Enclave will have a more open cockpit layout courtesy of a new push-button shifter, first seen on the facelifted Envision. Other Envision-inspired upgrades like a new 10.2-inch touchscreen are also likely to feature.

The Enclave will continue to be Buick's flagship seven-seat SUV, though it could eventually be joined by a second three-row model called the Envision GX. Buick will continue to offer the Enclave with a luxurious Avenir trim, as that model already accounts for 25% of the model's sales. We also expect that other existing trim levels, such as the Sport Touring Package to be available for the 2022 model year.

There was no mention of engine changes during the presentation, and since this is only a facelift, we don't expect to see anything new under the hood. This means the 2022 Enclave should continue to call on a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Pricing should be similar to the current model, which starts at $41,195 or $53,800 for the Avenir.
