The Lexus GS-F is becoming a rare breed. Think about it. There are fewer and fewer naturally aspirated high-performance luxury sedans on the market than ever before. There is, of course, the Dodge Charger with either the 5.7- and 6.4-liter Hemi V8, but it's not classified as luxury. The GS-F and its 5.0-liter V8 boasting 467 horsepower and 389 lb-ft of torque is equal parts luxury and attitude. We don't know how much longer it'll be around, especially since the current generation GS dates back to 2012. But what we do know is that Lexus USA is offering some killer discounts on both the 2019 and 2020 GS-F this month.

Right now, there's a $4,000 cash discount on the 2020 GS-F, but this increases to $5,000 for the 2019 model. They're completely identical. If you prefer to finance, Lexus is offering 0.9 percent APR financing for up to 60 months for the 2019 sedan, and 1.9 percent APR for the 2020 model, also for 60 months.

Assuming one qualifies for this offer, no down payment is required. However, the fine print specifically states relatively few customers will qualify for this cheap financing, so bear that in mind. But it seems the cashback offer is the way to go, assuming you have the funds available. With $5k off for a 2019 GS-F with an MSRP of $84,600, you're looking a new price of $79,600. The 2020 model year has a slight price bump to $85,010. Apply the $4k cashback offer and the price drops to $81,010. These current offers expire on March 2, 2020.

Still not exactly cheap but nor is any luxury performance sedan. These cashback offers are still quite generous.

Now, the question arises as to whether that generosity comes at another price, meaning the GS-F. We've spoken to Lexus about this subject in the past and were told that both the 5.0-liter V8 and GS-F still had a future. But a lot can change in a year's time.

It's too early to know at this time whether or not there will be a 2021 Lexus GS-F (or a Lexus GS), but if you have any doubt, now's the time to get one.
