Here's Proof That A Facelifted Jaguar F-Pace SVR Is Coming

Spy Shots / 3 Comments

The supercharged beast lives on.

After countless spy shots, Jaguar finally revealed the first major facelift for its F-Pace SUV. Not that is wasn't pretty before, but Jaguar's updates yield what is possibly the best looking SUV on sale right now. Along with the visual changes, Jaguar implemented some changes under the hood where the supercharged V6 engine is no longer available. Jaguar will offer two powertrain options, a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 246 horsepower or a 3.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged mild-hybrid inline-six with either 335 hp or 395 hp.

While Jaguar failed to announce plans for its V8 supercharged SVR model, it's only a matter of time before the SVR model returns, as evidenced by these new spy shots from ts.exotics.

Tom found the camouflaged F-Pace SVR sitting inside a parking garage in Lincolnshire in the East Midlands of England. Not only does the aging brick building give these photos a unique look for spy shots, but this is also our best look yet at the facelifted F-Pace SVR. We previously spotted Jaguar's performance SUV testing on the Nurburgring, where it wore more camo than this latest example.

This car is clearly the high-performance SVR model, as evidenced by the larger wheels, red brake calipers, unique grille, quad exhaust tips, and wild Ultra Blue signature paint. Jaguar even left the secondary SVR badge on the grille but covered it with camo.

We expect the F-Pace SVR to continue using the same 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. In the 2020 Jaguar F-Pace SVR, this mighty engine produces 550 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque. If the F-Pace receives the same update found in the 2021 F-Type R, then the 2021 facelifted model should produce 575 hp and 516 lb-ft.

Along with an increase in power, the SVR will receive other updates from the facelifted F-Pace. These include an updated cabin with an 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen and a new digital gauge cluster. Based on the production readiness of this prototype, we expect an official reveal in the near future.
