Kia is working on a few new models, but the ones it currently offers to the public are already impressive. The new Kia K5 is absolutely stunning, and not only does it turn heads, but it also keeps your wallet pretty healthy. Leasing the car is ridiculously affordable and Kia offers great discounts if you want to buy instead.

With those good looks, loads of features, great engines, and an affordable asking price, the South Korean automaker is showing that you don't need to be loaded to have a fantastic car. But with a 2022 model update, will pricing go up? Yes, but barely.

For the 2021 model, the LX trim with front-wheel-drive started at $23,590. For the 2022 model, that price increases by just a hundred bucks. The rest of the range is similarly affordable, with the LXS FWD trim starting at $1,000 more than the base model and the LXS AWD starting at $26,490.

Step up to the GT-Line and you'll pay $26,090 for the front-wheel drive model and $27,690 for the AWD model. Next up is the EX which is only available with drive to the front wheels. This model starts at $28,590. Finally, there's the front-wheel drive GT model, which is the priciest with a base price of $31,090.

All models bar the GT come with a 1.6-liter turbo four developing 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. These are paired exclusively with an eight-speed automatic. The GT model gets an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, paired with the impressive 2.5-liter turbo four that produces an impressive 290 hp and 311 lb-ft of twist.

As for changes, the 2022 model gets the new Kia badging and features like a surround-view monitor, additional wireless chargers, and standard navigation for the GT-Line, EX, and GT trims. There's also a new GT-Line AWD Premium package with a panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, LED projector headlights, and added driver aids like navigation-based smart cruise control. There's never been a better time to put your brand prejudices aside.
