With the multitude of electric supercars now surfacing, such as the Rimac Nevera, NIO EP9, Tesla Roadster (if it arrives), and more, you'd be forgiven if you forgot all about the Hispano-Suiza Carmen Boulogne. The styling concept was first shown to us at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show with design cues that drew inspiration from the 1938 Hispano-Suiza H6B Dubonnet Xenia.

More exciting than its contemporary design is its proposed power output of 1,100 horsepower that is generated by two electric motors positioned on the rear axle. Coupling this with a curb weight of 3,600 lbs, the niche Spanish manufacturer claims that it will sprint from 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds and reach a modest top speed of 180 mph.

In 2020, it was revealed to us that local mattress king and luxury car enthusiast Michael Fux placed an order for one of the 14 units to be produced. Two years after this specification was revealed to us via its conclusive customization program, Hispano-Suiza reveals that Fux has now taken delivery of this outlandish EV which officially marks its arrival in the US.market. The car was handed over at the 27th Amelia Island Concours d 'Elegance along with a full explanation of the color scheme that was requested by its new owner.

The shade applied to the Hispano-Suiza Carmen Boulogne is a bespoke Ocean Song Rose that mimics Fux's favorite flower. He had this particular flower sent from Miami to Barcelona so that the design team could scan the shade for the most accurate finish. This paint was applied to the all-carbon fiber body with a layer of Alutex.

Contrast is provided by a Birkigt White finish that is applied to the sides of the gloss black grille and pinstriped to the butterfly doors. Polished aluminum wheels with purple monoblock nuts round off the luxurious appearance. Interestingly, this is a change from the gold hues seen in the initial design render.

Things are kept slick and clean inside the cabin with the use of Birkigt White leather upholstery and cabin trimmings. This is contrasted by dark blue floor mats while the exterior's purple is applied to the contrast stitching and piping, air vent surrounds, and other minor details on the dashboard as well as the seatbelts and carbon seat shells. "Boulogne" has been embossed on the headrests as a finishing touch.
