German automaker Audi officially began production on the new Q3 SUV at the SEAT factory, which is located within the Spanish region of Catalonia. The Martorell plant will be home to the new Q3. There are approximately 100,000 units set to be built at the plant each year. The new Q3 is the smallest SUV in the Audi Q series. It will be available with a range of three four-cylinder engines.

These include a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine available in two outputs of 170hp and 211hp, a 2.0-liter turbo diesel with 177hp and finally a fuel efficient 2.0 TDI with 140hp. A smaller displacement gasoline engine will likely be added in the near future.
