Holden is Why You Need to Move to Australia

When all else fails, Holden's performance division HSV is here for us. You'll just have to go to Australia in order to indulge.

Holden. It’s GM’s long-running Australian division that builds cars the way America once used to. We’re talking about rear-wheel-drive, V8-powered machines that don't give a damn about being green cars. True, the Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro and the Dodge Challenger are still very much with us, but the future of naturally-aspirated V8 performance isn’t for certain. But in Australia, Holden’s performance division, HSV, could care less about all of those pesky government emissions regulations.

With its rear-drive, large car platform, it has just unveiled its lineup of what it calls "the greatest performance production cars ever built in Australia." True, you can now buy the Chevy SS in the US, but in Australia you can also get this car as a wagon and a ute. Yes, it’s time to head Down Under. Thanks Teagan for the tip.
