The stylish new Civic wagon has been spied in production form. But don't get too excited as it won't be coming to the US.
After debuting at the Geneva Motor Show in concept guise, a pre-production prototype of the Honda Civic Tourer has been spied on the road by our vigilant spy photographers. As you'd expect, the concept's styling has been toned down for production, with the front end now looking more like the Civic hatch. However the taillight design and low roofline look to be carried over. The concept was powered by a new 1.6-liter turbo-diesel engine that's good for 118 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque.
This new powerplant is also expected to make it over to production, along with an array of other engines. However, like the Civic hatchback, the stylishly stretched Civic Tourer is unlikely to make it Stateside. Expect the production version to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September before hitting dealerships in early 2014.
