While fans wait for the NSX hybrid supercar, driving teams will have the chance to thrash the racing machine around GT circuits.
Honda has quietly revealed the racing variant of the awesome NSX Concept that first debuted at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show and returned this year for further adulation. Dubbed the NSX Concept-GT, the dedicated race car will race in the fifth round of the GT500 class of the 2014 Super GT Series at Suzuka Circuit. There are few details of the racecar save for stating power will come from a mid-mounted 2.0-liter turbo-four coupled with a racing hybrid system. A prototype NSX was recently showcased in Ohio during an IndyCar race, the same state where it will be built for release in 2015.
