The heavily restyled 2021 Honda Ridgeline went on sale last month and the Japanese automaker is already offering a very attractive incentive. Although the Ridgeline doesn't ride on a traditional body-on-frame chassis, it has accumulated a loyal following and respect as a highly capable midsize pickup. And Honda has recently begun doing something it's never done before: interest-free financing. The new Ridgeline is now included, according to CarsDirect.

Dealerships nationwide have just been notified that all versions of the 2021 Ridgeline are currently available with 0 percent APR for 36 months. Those who prefer to spread out their monthly payments for a longer period will find 48 and 60-month deals for 0.9 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively. At present, there are no leasing incentives.

Still, Honda's decision to offer a zero-interest financing option for its newest vehicle is a break from the past. Perhaps it had no choice since many rival automakers, including popular truck brands, have been offering interest-free loans for quite some time. Plus, President's Day is only a couple of weeks away and automakers always have holiday-related sales. Honda is anxious to attract truck shoppers as the Ridgeline has a lot to offer. However, it's not the only midsize truck with zero-interest financing right now.

The Chevy Colorado also has 0 percent APR - and for twice the amount of time - 72 months. In addition, Chevy has tossed in $900 in down payment assistance to further sweeten the deal.

Still not good enough? If you're coming from a rival brand, there's a $750 bonus. That's a total of $1,650 in possible savings plus zero interest for six years. But if you're really looking for an incredible deal on a Ridgeline, then consider the outgoing 2020 model. Honda is currently desperate to sell what's left in dealer stock and has authorized 0 percent interest for 60 months or 0.9 percent for 72 months. Bear in mind the base 2021 Ridgeline carries a $2,670 price increase over last year's base model ($37,665 vs. $34,995).

The Colorado, meanwhile, retails at $22,395 thanks to a new base trim, but the cheapest Ridgeline is far more feature-packed. Current Ridgeline offers will expire on March 1, 2021.
