Hop on board the ultimate Silver Star as it man-handles the Green Hell.
Fans of the ultimate Silver Star have pleaded with Mercedes-Benz to take the SLS AMG Black Series to the Nurburgring ever since the most potent Black Series model to date was unveiled this time last year in LA. That time has now come, and with an AMG engineer behind the wheel, the SLS Black took just 7:25.67 to lap the Ring, putting it in the esteemed company of the Ferrari Enzo, Pagani Zonda F Clubsport and Nissan GT-R. A revised 6.2-liter V8 engine cranks out 622 hp instead of the stock SLS's 563.
Combined with a liberal application of carbon fiber and a stripped out interior, it can sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.6 secs and hit a top speed of 196 mph. A future classic and living masterpiece, the SLS AMG Black Series carries a $275,000 price tag.
