According to reports, the South Australian owner of this Maserati was driving with a tin of white paint in the back seat when he suddenly swerved to avoid something on the road: a dog. Unfortunately, that paint tin wasn't complete sealed. The insurance claims manager that dealt with the aftermath said that "as the tin flew around the car like a mini tornado, the leather interior and windscreen were liberally splashed with a thick coat of white paint." Assessors declared a write-off valued at over $90,000 AUS, or about $69,000 USD. Both dog and driver are just fine.
