For some people, hitting 100,000 miles on a car is a telltale sign to get something new. However, if your car is looked after and well-maintained, you can definitely go a lot further. We have seen cases where reliable cars, like the Toyota Tundra, were driven over one million miles in less than 10 years. However, a Toyota truck is built to be tough. What if you have a sports car? It may not have a million miles yet, but the owner of a 2000 Corvette has just posted a video of his car which has over 700,000 miles on it. This might be the highest-mileage Corvette in the world.

In order to make a car last that long it is recommended that you perform certain maintenance like regular oil changes, monitor key fluids, do regular transmission maintenance, avoid sudden starts and stops, and replace the timing belt when needed.

This 2000 model C5 Corvette still has the original 5.7-liter V8 that came from the factory, although the transmission has been replaced. The car looks to be in excellent condition, despite being driven three times the distance to the moon. We love to see cars that are well-maintained and driven to extremely high mileage. We hope that this Corvette reaches one million miles with no issues.
