How Does This Illinois Dealership Already Have Three 911 Rs?

Two of the three come in new colors that we haven't seen before.

Calling the 911 R highly anticipated is a huge understatement. Only 991 examples will be built and some have speculated that they will be worth over $1 million as soon as they are delivered. When the configurator opened, we could tell that the 911 R wasn't as customizable as Porsche's cars usually are. It was only offered in white or silver with the option of red or green stripes. However, we heard rumors that if you ordered one early enough Porsche would let you do paint to sample. Thanks to Porsche Exchange, we now know this rumor was true.

This Illinois dealership has just taken delivery of three 911 Rs. One of the cars is white with red stripes, but another is black with red stripes. Clearly the black model was ordered pretty early, as was the stripe-less yellow model.

Frankly, all three examples look amazing, although seeing the 911 R in a new color like yellow and without the stripes is pretty cool. If the 911 R really is going to be worth seven figures, we bet that models with PTS like this yellow one will be the most expensive examples. If you were a member of Porsche's VIP program you may have had the chance to buy a 911 R. However, Porsche has employed a program that monitors people who just flip the 911 R right away. There's a chance that some owners who decide to flip their cars could be kicked out of Porsche's privileged buyer's club, but that's just speculation on our part. No matter what happens, the 911 R will remain out of reach for all but 991 lucky individuals.
