Company announces production run at Shanghai debut.
Followingits world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, Lamborghini has just made the Asiandebut of its newest rendition of the epic Aventador, the 750 (metric)horsepower, 509 lb-ft of torque LP 750-4 SuperVeloce. In addition to introducingthe supercar to its potential buyers in Asia, company CEO Stephan Winkelmannused the Shanghai Auto Show as a platform to announce just how many of these monsters the company willgive to the world before ending production of this edition.
So, how many lucky customers will be given the chance to part withnearly $500K for the privilege of ownership? Winkelmann's announcement hasproduction limited to 600 units worldwide. Considering thatLambo has only applied the 'SV' badge to three past models, thisshould make the current edition even more appealing to collectors and fans. With considerable weight reduction and power upgrades over'standard' models, these 600 owners will also benefit from 2.8-second 0-62 mph times. Speaking in Shanghai, Winkelmann said, “The new AventadorSuperVeloce continues the Lamborghini tradition of SV models, pushing theboundaries in terms of performance and pure driving emotion.”
