Following its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, Lamborghini has just made the Asian debut of its newest rendition of the epic Aventador, the 750 (metric) horsepower, 509 lb-ft of torque LP 750-4 SuperVeloce. In addition to introducing the supercar to its potential buyers in Asia, company CEO Stephan Winkelmann used the Shanghai Auto Show as a platform to announce just how many of these monsters the company will give to the world before ending production of this edition.

So, how many lucky customers will be given the chance to part with nearly $500K for the privilege of ownership? Winkelmann's announcement has production limited to 600 units worldwide. Considering that Lambo has only applied the 'SV' badge to three past models, this should make the current edition even more appealing to collectors and fans. With considerable weight reduction and power upgrades over 'standard' models, these 600 owners will also benefit from 2.8-second 0-62 mph times. Speaking in Shanghai, Winkelmann said, "The new Aventador SuperVeloce continues the Lamborghini tradition of SV models, pushing the boundaries in terms of performance and pure driving emotion."
