There's nothing else like it.
We’ve recentlyseen prices of classic Ferraris continue to rise. While this 1962 Ferrari 250GT SWB Berlinetta Speciale isn’t expected to fetch as much as this otherclassic Ferrari, it’s estimated to go for a whopping $16 million. This uniquevehicle started life off as a Ferrari 250 GT SWB but was given a new design by Giuseppe“Nuccio” Bertone and Giorgetto Giugiaro of Carrozzeria Bertone. Nuccio later sold it and the Ferrari eventually stopped changing hands and had one owner for 13 consecutive years (1967 - 1980).
After 13years of ownership and roughly 100,000 miles of use, the car ended up in the hands of a collector inMexico which is where its current owner acquired it from. Despite undergoingnumerous restorations the 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Speciale still has itsoriginal chassis, transmission and engine. The vehicle is set to go on salethis August at Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach auction. With its rich historyand unique look, it’s no surprise that this Ferrari is expected to fetch thismuch money.
