The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a hell of a thing. And very soon it can be yours. For a price, that is. However, considering its sheer power and technological advancements (especially over its predecessor), the new Z06 is an absolute bargain. The Z06 coupe, according to Chevrolet, has a starting price of $78,995. The Z06 convertible bases at $83,995. Both come powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 that makes 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.

Transmission options are either a seven-speed manual with rev-matched downshifts or a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic. Features such as Magnetic Ride Control, Performance Traction Management, and an electronic limited slip differential are all standard. For those who want to add on some options, Chevy will be more than happy to oblige. There's the Carbon Fiber Ground Effects package for $2,995, which adds a functional carbon fiber front splitter, rocker panels, and a larger rear spoiler. But if you want the ultimate track performance possible, then you'll need to check the box for the Z07 Performance Package.

At a cool $7,995, you'll get Brembo carbon ceramic-matrix brake rotors and even more adjustable front and rear aerodynamic components to the aforementioned Ground Effects package. The Z06 is offered in 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ trims, with a range of even more options such as a Premium Package with leather-wrapped interior, Performance Data Recorder and navigation, competition sports seats in leather or suede microfiber, carbon fiber trim, visible carbon fiber roof panel (for the coupe), and various exterior colors and wheel finishes. Considering everything and compared to various supercar rivals, the new Z06 is still one hell of a bank for the buck.
