It may turn out to be the greatest high-performance vehicle Chevrolet (or GM for that matter) has ever built. The 2015 Corvette Z06 has 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque thanks to its LT4 6.2-liter supercharged V8. Available as both a coupe and a convertible, the new Z06 is simply marvelous. So now the question, which GM still hasn't given an official answer to, is how much does the thing weigh?

N/A

According to a leaked order guide and first reported by GM Authority, the new Z06 Coupe weighs in at 3,524 lbs while the convertible tips the scales at 3,582 lbs. Compared to the previous generation Z06, the new model is 349 lbs heavier. What's more, it's also heavier than the C6 ZR1 by 191 lbs. The 2015 Z06 Convertible, compared to the C6 427 Convertible, is 227 lbs heavier. Despite the weight gain, both the 2015 Z06 Coupe and Convertible are faster around GM's Milford Road Course proving grounds than their predecessors thanks, in part, to the cars' array of advanced performance technologies.
