How Much Will the Next-Generation Audi R8 Change from Current Model?

Short answer: not that much.

Audi will unveil the next-generation R8 sometime next year, and rendering artists have been keen to offer their interpretations of what the flagship supercar could look like. Marco Van Overbeeke is the latest, with his designs based on spy shots that have so far revealed an evolutionary design of the highly popular model. The images also show Audi’s latest radiator grille and LED lights. Clearly the designer thinks the 2016 R8 will be a case of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and we tend to agree.

Built on the same platform as the Lamborghini Huracan, the new R8 is tipped to sport shorter side blades, a Le Mans-inspired double diffuser, with power coming from a 450-hp 4.2-liter V8 and 5.2-liter V10 rated at 570 hp.
