The Tesla Model S P85D had better watch its back on the drag strip now that the VW Andretti Rallycross Beetle has broken cover. The spirited Bug is packing more than just a cool wing and racing livery. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TSI engine good for 553 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Compare those figures to the 2014's 544 horsepower and 387 lb-ft of torque. All that added torque is designed to help the lightweight Beetle rocket off the line.

Yes, this Bug is light. It comes in at 2,866 pounds (curb weight). It also features all-wheel drive and limited-slip differentials in both the front and back. All of the above is why Volkswagen estimates the 2015 GRC Beetle will be able to hit 60 mph in just 2.0 seconds. Even if you aren't a fan of rallycross or motorsports in general, it'll still be fun to watch this Beetle shoot off the line and come out of corners.
