What was that one car that went 200 mph? A Veyron? No, it was a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. (Okay, the Veyron also does that speed too.) This specific Camaro is up for sale on Craigslist for just $60,000. Why the high price? Well, it's famous from a magazine called GM High Tech Performance where it ran a blistering 202 mph top speed. For a car that came with only a 5.7-liter LS1 V8, producing just over 300 horsepower, how is this unbelievable feat possible? According to its owner, all it took was $70,000 worth of aftermarket parts.

According to its owner this car should cost around $120,000 to build. It was built by his shop, JFR Motors, so we assume that figure is correct. Anyway, that money should get you about 1,000 horsepower on the dyno. After some recent upgrades the estimated power now sits at 1,150 horses. The car has come a long way since its genesis, now fitted with a forged 6.6-liter LS V8, sporting a custom 91mm turbocharger. With this setup not only did it reach 202 mph at the Mojave Mile in 2014, it did it by beating a Bugatti Veyron to the punch. That's that hyper car that goes for around one zillion dollars. This Z28 has 100,000 miles on the odometer, but we doubt its new owner will use it as a daily driver.
