When it came time to style the SRT Viper, designers were fully aware of the daunting yet rewarding task ahead of them. The Viper has an iconic shape and charisma all of its own, which truly makes it stand out in the world of supercars. Its massive 640 horsepower 8.4-liter V10 aside, the Viper is unlike other modern supercars thanks to its old school nature. Void of a high-tech dual-clutch gearbox, the Viper sticks with the traditional six-speed manual and dodges many other computer-enhanced driver aids.
Just as important, the new Viper had to look like a Viper. And now its head designer, Mark Trostle, explains how he and his team created the look of the latest vicious serpent.
