How To Go Fishing In A Subaru Impreza

Amphibious Car

This is a real thing.

With a current bid of $565 New Zealand dollars (around $420 USD), this awesome custom-made Subaru has taken a leaf out of this Volvo’s book and been transformed into a water-going Impreza. The seller claims the amphibious Japanese hatch comes with all mod cons and “extreme luxuries of a high end boat,” but that’s probably a slight exaggeration based on the video footage and shot of the interior. Designed primarily “for game fishing and party cruises,” the seller also says it would make the journey from New Zealand to Australia with just a few modifications.

Power comes from a Honda-sourced 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a manual, and there’s less than 1,000 km on the clock. Interested parties have a week to make a bid.
