How To Make The Quickest Street-Legal Viper On The Planet

It's more than just raw horsepower.

The recently revealed Dodge Viper ACR is said to be the “fastest street-legal Viper track car” according to Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis. But that has nothing to do with a new engine, or even upgrading the stock Viper’s 8.4-liter V10. The American Club Racer generates the same 645 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque as other Viper models, but a serious carbon-fiber aero kit coupled with cutting edge tech upgrades, massive tires and a race-spec suspension means this Viper will destroy a track like no other.

Check out the work that went into the new Viper ACR. If you’re thinking about a Corvette Z06, Nissan GT-R Nismo or Porsche 911 GT3 RS, is it time to reconsider?
