This race could have been something really, really awesome. The cars involved, a McLaren P1 and a Bugatti Veyron, are both known for tearing up the track, especially when running in a straight line. The Veyron is older but pushes 1,000 horsepower (or more depending on the variant) from its 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine and is no slouch on the strip. The P1 is newer but packs a smaller 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 good for 903 horsepower. The P1 is rear-wheel drive and the Veryon is all-wheel drive, but this is a roll race so that advantage is negated.

So, why was this race a fail? We're going to chalk it up to crappy camera angles. We've seen two pretty bad supercar drag racing videos in as many weeks. Hopefully bad angles and poor starts don't become a trend. Check out the video to see for yourself, along with who wins.
