How To Transform A Mercedes E-Class Into An E63 AMG

Tuning

It's easier than you may think.

It seems odd that anyone would choose to spend the same amount of money on a tuned Mercedes E500 as they would on a Mercedes-AMG E63. But those who already find themselves with an E-Class in their driveway wanting a bit more performance should check out what German tuner Vath has on offer. Dubbed the V50RS program, the performance kit for the 4.7-liter turbocharged V8 includes a remapped ECU, new intercooler, and stainless-steel quad exhaust system.

The result is output of 542 hp and 612 lb-ft of torque, and a new top speed of 186 mph. Other upgrades include 20-inch alloys, upgraded brakes, custom dampers, and a carbon-fiber trunk lip spoiler and diffuser. Vath will also rework the interior with a sports steering wheel, Alcantara headliner and carbon-fiber trim.
