The news has barely had time to settle in following the reveal of Porsche's first-ever electric car, the Taycan, but the company has already opened up its online configurator so you can spend hours building your perfect specification. Porsche has already announced the Taycan Turbo will start at $153,310 for the Turbo model or $187,610 for the faster Turbo S, with 670 and 750 horsepower respectively.

But as we've come to expect from Porsche, even the company's most expensive models do not include every feature and you will have to spend a lot more to get the car you really want. Here are some of the most important options you can select on your 2020 Taycan.

No matter which trim level you chose, Porsche will offer nine no-cost color options. These include white, black, Carrera White Metallic, Jet Black Metallic, Volcano Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, Gentian Blue Metallic, Frozen Blue Metallic, and our personal favorite, Mamba Green Metallic. A special color called Carmine Red is also available for an additional $3,150.

The Turbo Model has two sets of 20-inch aero wheels while the Turbo S includes 21-inch design wheels or Mission E wheels, which look like the concept car and can even be painted to match the body color. Our overall favorite color combination is Carmine Red with wheels painted in Satin Aurum (gold) for an additional $1,290.

In the cabin, Porsche will offer six no-cost options - three leather and three Race Tex (leather-free). The available leather colors include Black, Black/Limestone Beige, and Black/Bordeaux Red while the Race Tex material comes in Black, Graphite Blue, and Black/Slate Grey. Porsche will also offer three optional Olea Club Leather interiors for $2,450: Basalt Black, Truffle Brown, and Basalt Black/Atacama Beige.
