And 634 lb-ft of torque!
The super-performing Audi RS6 Avant, which makes 560hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, is proving to be a favorite blank canvas for German tuners, who've been taking this power wagon and turning it into an outright supercar. This time, we have a shining red example from HPERFORMANCE in Osterbuken, an experienced tuner that has been working on Audi S and RS models for many years. They've managed to up the 4.0-liter engine’s performance output to 700hp and 634 lb-ft of torque.
Working with the same V-8 bi-turbo engine as in the stock car, the company has reduced the Avant’s weight by approximately 200 pounds, improving both performance and fuel economy. The tuner’s ‘sound by choice’ program also allows customers to modify the car’s exhaust notes – in this case the buyer opted for a quieter HPERFORMANCE 70mm double-pipe exhaust system. The performance upgrades were achieved mostly thanks to control device programming, which will soon be available with modified downpipes providing higher performance with bigger turbochargers. We can’t wait.
