Boasting unique bodywork and a 400-hp 4.0-liter V6, the Legato Concept will be one of the stars of the Las Vegas show.
Another SEMA show, another Hyundai and Ark Performance collaboration. With the tuning expo just a month away, the Korean carmaker has revealed its latest co-developed concoction based on the Genesis Coupe. The Legato Concept is so-named as the musical term meaning "tied together" reflects the car's combination of exotic design, tuned performance and luxury interior. Not immediately apparent from the teaser images, but Hyundai says the widebody design Ark Legato will boast restyled bumpers, side skirts and deck-lid.
Racing Silver is the body color of choice for the tuned Genesis, while under the hood the 3.8-liter Lambda V6 is stroked to 4.0 liters thanks to a Brian Crower 4.0 Stroker Kit with JE Pistons and BC crankshaft, as well as an Ark oil cooler, intake system and headers. A custom dual-mass flywheel and carbon clutch kit ensures the 400 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque is efficiently transferred to the tarmac. Chassis upgrades include a coilover suspension, Rays Engineering G25 alloys, carbon brakes, while the Legato interior boasts Takata Drift Pro LE seats, an AiM Sports Strada GT steering wheel and digital gauge cluster, and a Rockford Fosgate sound system.
