Advertising agencies are always looking to cook up commercials and the like that are provocative and perhaps most importantly, memorable. As such, there have been many successes and as well as controversial ads that have garnered mixed feedback and bad publicity. Hyundai UK recently released a commercial showing a middle-aged guy attempting suicide by sitting in his ix35 crossover (also known as the Tucson in the US) with the engine on and the garage door closed.

He ultimately fails to end things because the car he's in just happens to be the fuel-cell version that emits water vapors and not carbon monoxide. The commercial has now been banned and the automaker is distancing itself from its advertising agency, Innocean Europe, claiming it never approved the ad.
