Hyundai Working Up All-New i10

Spy Shots

Just a year after unveiling a facelift, Hyundai has begun work on an all-new i10 city car.

Hyundai may have only completed a facelift for its popular city car last year, but that hasn't stopped the Korean carmaker from cracking on with an all-new model. The heavy camo prevents us from establishing what plans are afoot for the cheeky runabout, but there's certainly a change in store for the grille which looks to have grown from the model that debuted at the Paris Motor Show back in 2010. The side profile seems to have sharpened up with an upward sweeping shoulder line, while the roof appears to be more sloping.

The current model's vertical taillights look to have rotated 90 degrees to a horizontal layout and the now rounded fog lights integrated in the front bumper are topped by a LED stripe. Engine options are still under wraps but gasoline units will reportedly include 69-hp 1.1-liter and 86-hp 1.2-liter engines. We expect the new Hyundai i10 to debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
