This is perhaps the best endorsement a car can get.
Honda's new CEO Takahiro Hachigo is really, really excited about the new Civic Type R. How stoked is he? Well, Hachigo is currently without a ride because he is waiting for the Type R to go on sale this fall. Honda's CEO revealed that much to reporters in a roundtable discussion where he revealed the hot hatch to be the object of his desire. "There is a model I want, which will, as I have told you, be launched this autumn. I want to buy the Civic Type R."
Of course all CEOs shill for their cars, but it's telling when Honda's head honcho would rather have the Civic Type R instead of the new NSX. We're just as excited as Hachigo is for the hot hatch to make its debut this fall. Our own Adam Lynton rode shotgun in one at Goodwood and was thoroughly impressed, to say the least.
