With some of the greatest affordable luxury cars cruising our roads, Audi certainly has a lot to be proud of when it comes to performance, design and technology. But for some time now, it seems like one model has been left behind. The A5 Coupe, which was introduced in 2007 and underwent a delicate refresh along the way, is due for a complete redesign later this year. And following the introduction of the new A4 sedan and wagon, which it will be heavily based on, it's about time for the used-to-be sleek coupe to play a bit of catch up.

Featuring a design language that is, once again, heavily based on the new A4, these renderings from Theophilus Chin show an A5 that has a bit of added personality, with sleeker headlights and a modified rear that makes it more sporty and draws some influences from the Prologue Coupe concept. But would this be enough to make you buy it over, say, a BMW 4 Series or Mercedes C-Class?
