The Venom GT is John Hennessey's self-proclaimed masterpiece. The handbuilt hypercar holds the world speed record for a two-seat sports car with a top speed of 270.49 mph, and holds the Guinness World Record for 0-186 mph acceleration, with a time of 13.63 seconds. With an aluminum chassis, carbon-fiber body, and a 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 rated at 1,244 hp and 1,155 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the wheels via a six-speed Ricardo manual box, Hennessey says the Venom GT is the car for those who find the Veyron "a little too tame."

And the Texan tuner has one for sale. For $1.4 million you can have a car that will pretty much destroy any car on the road from 50 to over 250 mph. And with a 0-60 mph time of 2.7 seconds, it's also no slouch off the line.
