It's done less than 3,000 miles.
A Porsche 911 is always an object of great desire, but if its a 911 GT2 RS, well then you need a whole thesaurus worth of superlatives to begin to describe its excellence. The 997 generation of the 911 was favored by many, including the great Walter Rohrl, but since it's now a good few years old, it's impossible to get a brand new one off the dealer floor. Fortunately, we've found the next best thing. The GT2 RS you see below is barely used, with just 2,599 miles indicated on the clock, and it's for sale. Just don't expect it to come cheap.
Very few details on this exquisite machine have been provided, but we do know that the car has yellow brakes that match the yellow contrast stitching in the cabin. That interior is a stunning mix of leather and Alcantara, as you'd expect of an RS model. Other highlights include the car's carbon fiber front fenders, which are naturally a very desirable option. Even without them, the overall cleanliness and rarity of this vehicle make it one to keep an eye on. Just 500 units were ever made and only 142 made their way Stateside, very few of which would have less than 3,000 miles on them.
Pricing isn't mentioned anywhere on the Gooding & Co. listing, but with other models with higher mileage selling in the region of $365,000, we wouldn't be surprised to see this car fetch close to $400k when it goes on sale at the Scottsdale auction. If a rare racing Porsche is a little bit too "normal" for you, the same auction will see the sale of an official A-Team van from the 80s. If either one interests you, the auction takes place from January 18 to 22, 2021. Just make sure you bring a truckload of cash.
