A debut made at last month's Belgian Auto Show was by specialty automaker Imperia Automobiles and their revival model. The imperia brand from Belgium enjoyed quite a bit of success between 1900 and 1950, and it was in 2008 when work began on trying to revive the brand as a retro styled vehicle. Although it may look retro, the Imperia is in fact equipped with the latest in hybrid technology.

The 2012 Imperia GP is set to be priced at €89,950 ($123,000)! The GP uses a 1.6-liter turbo engine in addition to an electric motor for power. The output from these two is set at 207-horsepower and 134-horsepower, respectively. The results are a 0 to 62 mph time of 4 seconds when utilizing the hybrid mode. A single charge in full electric mode will have a range of 43 miles, and recharging takes approximately 4.5 hours.
