The clock is ticking on the unveiling of DC Design's new supercar concept, as the Indian design firm readies to light up the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The initial teaser gives little away, although the car appears to have mid-engine proportions, a unique profile and a jet-fighter style cockpit. Billed as India's 'own supercar,' a production version is planned with power to come from a Honda-sourced V6.

A custom turbocharging system will see output exceed 400hp which combined with a 1,500kg curb weight should result in impressive performance. Around 300 examples will be built in DC Design's main facility in Pune, India with production to start by the end of 2013. With enough demand they have the capacity to produce 3,000 units annually, and given company bosses have hinted at a price of around $56,000 they should have little problem finding it. With three days to go until the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, watch this space for when the supercar is finally unveiled.
