Infiniti has introduced some stunning concepts recently, such as the retro e-roadster Prototype 9 and the Q Inspiration (both pictured below), and today the automaker has announced it will unveil yet another one at Pebble Beach later this month.

Details about the new concept are being kept under wraps for now, with the exception of a single teaser image, also pictured here, and that it'll focus on electrified performance. It's kind of hard to tell what exactly we're looking at regarding in this teaser, but we suspect there'll be additional, more clear images released ahead of the debut.

Styled under the direction of Infiniti design chief Karim Habib, who previously worked at BMW, the new concept is the result of the joint efforts of design teams in Japan, the UK, and the US."Our new concept provides clues to where the Infiniti brand is heading. For us, electrification means performance – our electrified cars will be powerful, efficient, and a joy to drive, and the new concept is a physical representation of our electrified performance future," Habib said.

The automaker adds that this latest concept's unveiling is set in the backdrop of its announcement to launch new vehicles with electrified powertrain beginning in 2021. Will this month's new EV concept be a direct preview of Infiniti's first production pure EV? We think so, but we won't know for sure until August 23.
