Ahead of its world premiere at the Detroit Motor Show, Infiniti has introduced its Formula One-inspired Q50 Eau Rouge concept that previews the marque's upcoming line of Infiniti Performance Line (IPL) products. Drawing inspiration from the Red Bull Racing program, and named after the famous corner at the Spa Francorchamps F1 circuit, the Q50 Eau Rouge sits lower and wider than the sedan on which it's based.

An entirely new body boasts a number of carbon-fiber components including a roof, front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, and mirror caps. Other unique features include 21-inch black alloys, a twin sports exhaust, integrated rear spoiler and Nissan GT-R-style hood vents. Design nods to Formula One come from the RB9 race car, in particular the rear aerodynamic packaging and sculpted front wing assembly. Infiniti will formally introduce the Eau Rouge Concept on January 13, but new details will be released prior to the car's public unveiling.
